The loop is the living part of Bus Loop. It is not a decoration: every visible passenger is a real passenger who must eventually board a matching bus. The way those passengers are arranged is the core of the puzzle.

Rows, columns and colours

Passengers walk in four concentric rows. Each radial column is a single colour, and colours can differ between columns. This is why two yellow passengers can be next to two blue passengers without mixing the queues.

When a passenger boards, they leave a visible gap. The queue does not reflow to hide the hole. New passengers step into real gaps from the side exits, which makes the crowd move like a crowd rather than a texture.

Side exits

There are two release points, one on each side of the loop. Each side holds a small queue of the same colour. When a gap passes the exit, a passenger walks from the exit into that gap. The colour at an exit is a preview of what is coming around the loop, not a separate supply that teleports to the bus.

The boarding point

At the bottom of the loop is the boarding point. Passengers only board when they physically reach it. A bus waiting in a bay does not pull passengers from the other side of the loop.

Practical consequence: if a yellow bus is waiting but the yellow columns are still on the far side, the bus will wait. That is normal. Watch the rotation and time the release.

Large40Draining a large colour block

Holes are information

A gap in a column tells you that passengers of that colour have boarded. Because the hole stays until a new passenger fills it, you can read recent boarding activity from the crowd itself. Use that as a signal for which colour is nearly exhausted.
